Trump to slain soldier’s widow: ‘He knew what he signed up for’

Publishers Notes: This looks like what it is, another smear by Democrats. They have no idea what the conversation was other than the cherry-picked statement by the President. If I were the Special Forces widow, I'd understand what he said and take it as a comforting thought.

President Trump told the widow of a Green Beret who died in Niger that the soldier “knew what he signed up for … but when it happens, it hurts anyway” during a phone call Tuesday.

The widow of Army Sgt. La David Johnson received the five-minute call from Trump, Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson told The Post, one day after the commander-in-chief falsely suggested that former President Barack Obama did not phone the families of fallen soldiers.

These older Congressmen/women (House and Senate) are an embarrassment to those who are OLDER!

Most cannot complete a sentence without a blank stare into the camera (NANCY), wear clothes that well shouldn't be worn in public (WILSON) (Maxine WATERS) or gets absolutely NOTHING done in session (DEMOCRUDS)

Unbelievable that this mish mash of poo get elected each/every time!

Wake up folks!

Am I the only person that hears this statement as:
"He had the courage and bravery to take on the duty, even though he knew exactly what the sacrifice may be."

What gives her the right to repeat a private conversation.

This clown show was on "the view" shooting her mouth off validating her ignorance.

10:33 is spot on. That's exactly what the president - any president- would have said. This race-baiting kook immediately started trashing Trump as soon as the widow hung up the phone.
Remember, this is the same lady who politicized the Travon Martin debacle.
Shame on her and the widow for making a mockery out of a consolatory call from the POTUS.
This is disgusting. I hope Trump has proof - written or recorded - and shares it.

My TV was tuned to NBC this morning by mistake and that's the news they ran with this morning. That's all they want to do is make him look bad.

Keep in mind, and don't forget, this is a demoncrat saying all this. Why she would share ANYTHING the President said to the widow is more of a concern to me that what she claims Trump said.

The only one I am interested in hearing what they thought of Trump making that statement is the widow.

Demoncrats like this pos are just using it to score political points.

The statement is true even if lacking in empathy. Sick of hearing things like this all the time. They are wasting valuable time engaging in these smear campaigns and NOT DOING THEIR JOBS.

Kick them all out.

I just watched a video of Trump denying he said what that congresswoman said he said and dares the congresswoman to make that statement again.

"I didn't say what that congresswoman said I said and she knows it".

When a reporter asked Trump a question he answered: "you will find out if she makes that statement again".

I figured as much since it was a demoncrat that started all this crap.
