Oscar seems to be onto something! Are there really any real gentlemen left in the world?

Definitely not on this website.

Being a gentleman is a personal creed and has nothing to do with societal pressures and norms these days. A mark of a true gentleman is also being grateful for things people do for him. Oscar Wilde may have been gay, but he's more a gentleman then most men I come across these days.

The art of being a gentleman is definitely lost on today's society!

Being a gentleman means you have respect for others. Manners are a way of showing respect for the other person - not being snotty. Does anyone learn manners anymore?

In Salisbury there's either players or imbeciles. Haven't seen a real gentleman since I left city living. Fathers and Mothers aren't raising their sons right

Men today can't even apologize for their bad behavior and women expect them to be gents? Really? If I had a $1 for every act that was left with no apology, I'd be rich enough to buy a whole multi-million dollar corporation.

This is interesting. Boys today are cowards. They will run away from people instead of standing up and being forthright. This guy's era was very different from now because in his day, men were brave and courageous not cowards. It takes real balls to be a man and a gentleman. Most guys today don't have either.
