Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic lawmakers are ramping up calls to remove Confederate statues on display in the halls of Congress, bringing the raging debate over Civil War symbols across the South to Capitol Hill.
Nearly 10 Confederate-era figures are memorialized in the U.S. Capitol, each sponsored by a state. Mississippi displays Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederacy, in Statuary Hall, for example. Virginia displays Gen. Robert E. Lee in the Capitol’s crypt.
“There is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or in places of honor across the country,” House Minority Leader Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday.

It is very sad to destroy History. If we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. Not my words of course. Obama before he left office spent millions on statues. Does anyone know what they are. Also Abama spent taxpayers money in the millions for his presidential museum. Do you think he will leave out slavery.
Today: Statues removed connected to those that believed in and died for the Confederacy .
Tomorrow: Statues connected with slave owners.

Notice Pelosi and her ilk don't care about the real concerns for Americans: JOBS, HEALTHCARE, BORDER WALL, and TAX REFORM. She's not doing her job. Typical Democrat.
If they can't control divide and cause disrupsion, terror and fear hum who else is doing this and it seems to be working fine for them too? Think people think you'll figure out the answer.
I don't have particularly strong feelings on this issue either way, but I am astounded by how quickly this has become the "issue of the day" when most of these statues have been in place for decades. This does nothing more than advertise how "out of touch" these government officials really are with the needs and concerns of people who go to work, feed their families, and save for their kids' college fund.
So, will they also yank former W. VA Senator Robert Byrd's statue out of there. He was an actual member of the KKK, a ranking officer at that. What do you hear about this-can you say crickets?
Something else must be going on, or about to, that we don't know about yet to have all this distraction over statues.
