Last Nights FOX News Interview with Pat Buchanan - Eastern Shore of Maryland Secession Movement

Last night Sean Hannity interviewed Pat Buchanan about America's Balkanization.  During the interview It was mentioned that Marylanders are 'fed-up with the legislation that is emanating out of Annapolis' and that a secession movement is already underway.

Many eastern shore residences are tired of being manipulated and pillaged out of their property, money, and low paying wages.  Housing foreclosures are the 2nd highest in the nation and the areas workforce numbers are abysmal.  Flush taxes have doubled, and now we even have a rain tax.  New Phosphorous regulations are underway and eastern shore residents are being squeezed as Wicomico's residents incomes decline.

SBYnews broke this story months ago and has been covering the inequities that currently exist between our western shore counterparts.  Currently- our eastern shore State Delegation only comprises 9 representatives up against 179 western shore counterparts.  Yet the eastern shore land area consist of more than 1/3 of the total Maryland land area.

This is a must see video news broadcast for every red blooded American eastern shore man.

Judge Tells Old Mill In Delmar, "Since When Does Ammo Kill"

Back in April we did THIS POST followed up by THIS POST referencing a young woman who had a horrible experience at the Old Mill in Delmar. Click on the above links to get all the details.

Well the case finally went to Court. The honorable Judge clearly felt the case was ridiculous and suggested each party go to mediation. The young lady immediately agreed while the Owner of the Old Mill refused, not a wise decision.

Because they had refused, another court date was set and finally was heard this week. Sources informed us that the Owner and Managers of the Old Mill were behaving like children and this too didn't set well with the Judge.

When they realized their case wasn't going to go their way they started asking the Judge to put this woman in Jail. The honorable Judge said, for what. Since when does ammo kill? (again, go back to the links and see why).

Then they demanded this young lady NOT speak to ANY of their employees. Again, the honorable Judge said, how the heck is she supposed to know who is and isn't one of your employees.

Let's chalk one up for FREEDOM OF SPEECH and the fact that we have multiple honorable Judges who hold incredible wisdom.

UNREAL: Obama to Take a Massive Half-Month Luxury Vacation in August

Even the most staunch among President Barack Obama’s supporters cannot deny that the White House is plagued by scandals and overrun by crises. The border with Mexicoand violence in the middle east occupy many recent headlines, but Obama’sproblems do not stop there.

This administration is also contending with a spate of legal reversals from theSupreme Court, a sluggish economy, the collapse of the VA healthcare system, and increasingly damning revelations regarding the IRS scandal, just to name a few.

What’s an embattled elitist president to do?

In Ocean City, ‘The Claw’ And Other Arcade Games Are Facing New State Regulations

If ever there seemed a place immune to bureaucratic meddling, it would be inside “the claw,” a glass box piled high with plush “Despicable Me” dolls, waiting to be plucked by a claw crane.

And yet, state lawmakers have managed to wriggle inside, not to play but to regulate.

Yes, beachgoers, a staple of summer could be at risk — at least that’s what arcade owners are warning. For the first time, amusement-game operators are facing some of the same requirements as the state’s casinos, and they fear additional fees and paperwork will make it impossible to make a profit on Skee-Ball, crane games and other classic summertime pursuits.

“I am not going to be regulated out of business,” said Jerry Greenspan, the second-generation owner of Sportland and Fun City, two of the Ocean City boardwalk’s biggest arcades. “My dad worked too hard.”

HISTORICAL COMMENTS BY GEORGE CHEVALLIER 7-19-14

The Surplus Store

Since I was just your average boy in the 1950’s, I was fascinated with anything to do with war, guns and the associated paraphernalia that went with them. The Korean War had ended in 1952, and there were a lot of surplus military goods to be had. Salisbury did not have one of the big outlets as did Baltimore andPhiladelphia. They had branches of a chain known as “Sunny’s Surplus”. They were huge stores and I am sure they had much more to offer than our little surplus store. Since none of us boys had seen a Sonny’s Surplus, we thought what we had was the cat’s meow.

I was solidly into my “cowboy” years and this was a whole new avenue for someone my age to discover. We all had our pistols and holsters to play cowboys and Indians, but this was a picture into the regular lives of real soldiers. Salisbury had our own surplus store, and it was a regular Shangri-la to boys my age. Even the smell was foreign to us. It smelled of far-off lands and adventures that we could only imagine. That place was Willie’s Fair and they sold only military surplus. Naturally your mother never entered a place reserved for the sale of such things that only men would understand, which made it that much more special.

Being always the practical one, I bought a “live bait” box. I still have it. The price of fifty cents is still visible on it. It probably never saw any military action, but it was painted “O.D.” and came from that mecca of military memories – Willie’s Fair. O.D. actually stood for olive drab, but when Crayola made a crayon of that color and called it O.D., my sister and I proceeded to call it odor.

Willie’s Fair was located on E. Church Street on the corner of Records Street and the building is still there, although it is now used as a furniture warehouse. Just as the building is still there, so are the memories of those glorious days spent wandering the aisles, looking at all the gas masks, used uniforms, helmets and other goodies associated with the military.

I remember buying rubber balls there for nine cents. The man told me that they were used by the Navy for something. He wasn’t sure just what. They predated the super ball that became so popular with children but exhibited the same traits for which the super ball is known. They were about the size of a tennis ball and would ricochet off my front steps with tremendous speed. I used to play with one of those balls and my ball gloves for hours. It was good infielding practice.

I don’t remember when Willie’s Fair ceased operations, but they are listed at the612 E. Church St. address in the 1961 telephone book. That was the year I graduated from Wi-Hi and I’m sure I had gotten over my fascination with war by that time and didn’t patronize them.

But to a 10-year-old boy, it was just the most intriguing place. I lived on the corner of Church and Truitt streets and walked the few blocks without the fear I would probably have today. Times change.

FEDS TO OPEN $50 MILLION RESORT FOR ILLEGAL CHILDREN

The Obama administration has awarded a $50 million contract to a charitable group to buy a Texas resort hotel and transform it in to a 600 bed facility for juvenile illegal aliens.
The beautiful Palm Aire resort and hotel has an indoor Olympic sized pool and an outdoor pool. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV are included in the simply decorated guest rooms.

The Palm Aire Hotel and Suites is set to be sold to Baptist Child & Family Services (BCFS) operating under a federal contract, pending local government approval, according to reports from Weslaco, Texas where the hotel is located. Weslaco is a few miles north of the Rio Grande in Hidalgo County.

The resort hotel for illegal alien children is reportedly the ‘first in the nation’.

Brown Skips Tawes, Fewer Politicians Attend

An all-you-can-eat seafood festival that often draws Maryland's leading political candidates has wrapped up, with a little less star power than usual.

The 38th Annual J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake was held Wednesday afternoon in Crisfield. This year was unusual because Maryland's primary was held before the event in June, rather than in September as in past elections.

Democratic Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, who is running for governor, was scheduled to attend, but he did not make the trip. His campaign says Brown and running mate Ken Ulman attended a funeral in Baltimore County

George Mason's Response to the commenters

Dear Joe,

Thank you for the opportunity to answer the assumptions and perhaps we could say misunderstandings of some of those who have commented on yours and my back and forth about my answer to the Daily Times question, “What does the Hobby Lobby ruling mean?”

To be fair to commenting bloggers and to you, Joe, they should probably know that when you made your original comments you did not know my 250 word answer was not a letter to the editor but an answer to the question which was answered by seven people. They also may not be aware that you, the same as many readers of this site, no longer subscribe to nor read the Daily Times. The only reason you were aware of my answer was a reader sent it to you and didn’t clarify the facts.

Some complainers said I previously wrote too many words for them to read. Some used the term windbag in referring to me. Warning: this is longer. The good thing is this is not school and this is not required reading so skip it if you are not interested or it is too long for you to read.

Some folks are upset because my answers to Joe did not deal with the Hobby Lobby case. The reason they did not is my answers dealt with Joe’s assumptions and comments. He was more interested in why the answer did not name SBY News, why I sent it to the paper instead of to him, why I didn’t know that every day he prints material he does not agree with, and that the quote in question was submitted by a woman. Therefore it was these issues I addressed.

As to the Hobby Lobby case itself, while I stand behind what I wrote in my answer, the case is complicated and debate would run into tens of thousands of words on both sides. They have already debated this in court and a decision was made. I have no interest in debating each nuance nor do I have any interest in trying to convince others they are wrong. Each of us is allowed to believe what we think is right about the case based on the facts as we see them.

There are some who question who I am. This seems to be the first question that often comes up on a blog that specializes in anonymity where “you don’t know me but I have a right to know you mentality” seems to rule. I don’t intend to tell those who don’t know me, any more than they know now. There are unspoken friends and acquaintances on here. We know each other in the real world. We may not always agree on the issues but I believe we respect each other. The assumption I am the George Mason who taught school in Wicomico County is wrong. Although I have met him twice he is not a relative or friend. I never thought of him as a liberal as one person here believed him to be in the 1970’s. I have not spoken to him for many years and while I believe he is still living he must be a very old man now.

I have spoken to Laura Mitchell once as any citizen might and I don’t know Josh Hastings or Chuck Cook.

Anonymous makes fun of the writing contest I mentioned. I am sure for some people it is more than a contest. They have an interest in convincing others of their point of view just as many of you anonymous people here. Years ago, I did write and I got paid for it. But I enjoy writing, the same as some others enjoy crossword puzzles, word finds, and other similar activities. I find puzzles extremely boring but good for those who enjoy them. I don’t need to be paid for my writing and apparently neither do any of you.

To call the Daily Times a liberal rag and insist that they only print the liberal view is popular among some people. But it is a myth. I would classify the Hobby Lobby answers on Delmarvanow as two liberal, three conservative and two in the middle. One of each got printed in the paper. There were five question answers this past Sunday: one liberal, three conservative, and one in the middle. Two conservatives and mine, the only opposing view, got published this past Sunday. The local column was conservative this Sunday. I liked the column writer’s ending, not because I agreed but because it was well done. Ben Carson appears every Sunday too. He’s another know-it-all maybe like me.

Anonymous complains, if you read the Times you see the same faces over and over. This is because these are the local people willing to write and willing to expose themselves to public scrutiny. The editor is always looking for other writers. Anonymous, you will have to use your real name.

There was a complaint about when I said, “You put too much importance on you and your blog” to Joe. It was snarky they said. But it is true when read in context. Joe never talked about Hobby Lobby just about the quote and the blog. When I described anonymous internet trolls it was not snarky or uncivil. I was speaking the truth. If you write here and are civil in the way you do it then you are not a troll.

Anonymous says, “Mr. Mason puts too much importance on the Daily Times.” I enjoy The Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal more. But I recognize the Daily Times is our local community daily paper. It is a shadow of its former self, but better today than a few months ago in the amount of content. It continues to carry the most local news and stories. Joe’s SBY News has something to offer too and I find myself reading both.

Thank you to all the civil people who have sincerely called my writing on here a class act. You all are valuable people in our community no matter what your political persuasions. I cannot say enough about your fair mindedness. For the others you should know I have not written comments on blogs like this one for about eight years. Blogging became meaningless to me. I did not write any one of the 64 comments that were here when I wrote this response and you can be sure I will not write a comment in the future.

I do want to speak to a late comment that came on the first thread although I am not sure how it applies to me. I am sorry for the medical- health-insurance-situation you apparently find yourself in. You sound desperate. I have no more power to change the world than you. Your concern appears to be about how Obama care has messed with your ability to get certain drugs. I have read that for some people Obama care is a life saver and for others no help, but instead one that reduces coverage and increases cost.

I have my own insurance issues. Unfortunately employers, insurance and drug availability is not the same for all Americans even with Obama care. But there was never any reason to think Obama care would be good for all.

Again, as one human to another, I am sorry for whatever difficulty you find yourself in and hope you the very best.

Joe, I am a small fish in a small pond that got thrown from my usual pond into your pond. But thank you again for allowing me to address your followers online. Only by communication will we come to know and understand each other better.

Sincerely yours,

George T. Mason

O’Malley: I Was Just Trying To Protect The Migrants From My Racist Constituents

It’s not that Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley doesn’t want the child migrants in Maryland — he was just trying to protect them from his racist constituents.

O’Malley, who’s been a vocal critic of the Obama administration for its efforts to return the migrant children to their home countries, came under fire this week when a conversation was leaked in which he asked a top White House adviser not to send any of the migrants to his state.

“Please don’t send these kids to western Maryland,” he told White House domestic policy adviser Cecilia Munoz on Friday.

JC Bloods have called for backup to kill another officer

In wake of the murder of 23-year-old officer Melvin Santiago, the Jersey City Police Department has acknowledged that the Bloods in Jersey City have requested help from affiliate gang members in Camden and Newark to assist in killing another police officer, according to a police memo obtained by Hudson County View.

Martin O’Malley: Don’t Send Border Children To Maryland Facility

Martin O’Malley says that deporting the children detained at the border would be sending them to “certain death” — but he also urged the White House not to send them to a facility in his own state.

Hours after the Maryland governor and prospective 2016 presidential candidate became the most prominent Democrat to criticize the White House on the issue, Domestic Policy Director Cecilia Muñoz called O’Malley to complain.

But before they hung up, O’Malley told Muñoz not to send any of the children to the facility in Westminster, Md., that the White House was looking at. It’s a conservative part of the state, he warned. The children were at risk of getting harassed, or worse, he said.

This only inflamed tensions between the White House and the Democratic governor who’s been trying to stake out room on the left for a possible presidential run.

White House aides confirmed the Friday conversation but declined further comment. But O’Malley aides say he’s been trying to find an alternative to the Western Maryland location, and there’s already one possibility at the preliminary stages of the process.

Burger King introduces gay pride Whoppers

Friend,
Burger King recently promoted the "gay pride" message with a rainbow Whopper wrapper at one of its stores. Unless there is some pushback from consumers, there is a real possibility that they could expand this promotion.
During this year's annual gay pride event in San Francisco, the Burger King location along the parade route sold a "Proud Whopper" with fanfare promotion by the corporate office.
It was the same Whopper as always, but in a rainbow-colored wrapper.
Fernando Machado, Burger King's Senior Vice President of Global Brand Management defended the company's promotion, telling USA Today that the "Proud Whopper…showcases who we are as a brand," adding, "It shows how we, as a brand, believe in self-expression."
Transexuals and cross-dressers are the main attraction at San Francisco's annual gay pride paradesWhy you should care
Unless Burger Kings sees a backlash for promoting cross-dressing and homosexual conduct as normal behavior, it will expand the promotion to other cities and additional stores next year.

Meet A Mother In D.C. Who Risked Having Her Kids Smuggled To Her From Honduras

From the moment she fled poverty-stricken Honduras a decade ago, Allis Godoy knew she would find a way to be reunited with the children she left behind. She was desperate enough to have them smuggled across Mexico to the U.S. border, spending thousands of dollars and risking their lives so they could join her in Northwest Washington.

Four years ago, her teenage son David made the hazardous trip. Two and a half months ago, her youngest daughter, Madison, finally reached her side. By then, the pixie-like 10-year-old had endured two failed smuggling attempts and a third that landed her in the custody of U.S. immigration agents in Texas on April 14. Two weeks later, she was flown to Washington by the federal government and greeted by the mother who had last seen her when she was 6 months old.

It was the crowning achievement of Godoy’s life.

Fathers of ISIS

As the ISIS Sunni radicals, after proclaiming a new Caliphate, continue to conquer Iraqi towns, and the Al Nusra Front Sunni radicals proclaim a new Emirate in Syria, it is good to remember that the policy that led to this mess was initiated under the Bush Administration, with full cognizance of the possibility that it could result in severe terroristic and destabilizing blowback. It was in 2007 that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia launched what Seymour Hersh, who broke the story in The New Yorker, called “the Redirection.” Under this policy revolution, the U.S. and the Saudis (with Israel’s blessing and prodding) began trying to bolster Sunni radicals in an effort to “contain” the “Shiite resurgence” brought about by the U.S. empowerment of the Shiites in Iraq. It all started in Lebanon (emphasis added):

In Lebanon, the Administration has cooperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda. (…)

The new strategy “is a major shift in American policy—it’s a sea change,” a U.S. government consultant with close ties to Israel said. The Sunni states “were petrified of a Shiite resurgence, and there was growing resentment with our gambling on the moderate Shiites in Iraq,” he said. “We cannot reverse the Shiite gain in Iraq, but we can contain it.”

“It seems there has been a debate inside the government over what’s the biggest danger—Iran or Sunni radicals,” Vali Nasr, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, who has written widely on Shiites, Iran, and Iraq, told me. “The Saudis and some in the Administration have been arguing that the biggest threat is Iran and the Sunni radicals are the lesser enemies. This is a victory for the Saudi line.”
